视频中，窦靖童也回答了让我们困惑已久的问题：为什么她一直用英文写歌呢？
Interviewer: When you were just starting out,what made you decide to stick with writing and singing in English?
最开始写歌的时候，为什么坚持用英语写歌/唱歌呢？
Leah Dou：When I first started writing music, I was living in the state of… I was studying in Michigan. So it was only normal to be writing in English cause you know, I was in an English-speaking environment. All my thoughts were processed in English, so that just came naturally.
最开始写歌的时候，我当时住在密歇根州，在那里学习。所以用英语写歌是一件很正常的事，因为我在一个说英语的环境中。我所有的思想都是用英语来处理的，所以一切都很自然。
窦靖童当时就读于美国密歇根州的Interlochen Center for the Arts（因特劳根艺术中心），是全美最顶级的艺术类高中之一。
But then, when I went back to China, I figured that because you know the Chinese language, it has such an incredibly long history. Each character has, the meaning behind it is always really rich.
后来我回到了中国，我发现中文拥有非常悠久的历史。每个字背后的意思都非常丰富。
It's hard to write when you want to be direct about something. Because in English language you can kind of be direct. Yeah, I just find it difficult to write in Mandarin. I will, someday. English is what I'm writing with for now.
当你想直接地进行表达时，用中文很难，英语却很直接。所以用中文写歌对我来说有点困难。未来我会的，不过现在我还是在用英文写。
